Weekend WrapUp: No Cars! Just Bikes! edition

What a great 2 days! On a beautiful Sunnyday our city decided to honor bikers by prohibiting cars from the city streets during "Ride the Drive: Car-Free, Care-Free City Streets." Dad and I took advantage of the freedom from exhaust while I chanted "No cars! Just bikes!" as we Cougar'd all over town. We had an awesome ride and are looking forward to the upcoming February edition!

(Dad's up for it if Mom let's me go).

My sleep pattern being what it is allowed us to be among the first on the streets ...
... although before long we had some company!
Over 30,000 people enjoyed the awesomeness of a carless city (if only for a day) ... the inspiring quiet and peace that resulted from the auto-free zone was only interrupted by a few brass quartets sprinkled around town (my favorite spot was a polka-playing foursome in the terrace "tunnel").
Saturday's market also presented an opportunity to celebrate Wiscoland ...
... by enjoying "Cows on the Square." Dairy exhibits were found around the Square, and I got up close and personal with "Bumpkin."
After downing a few calories with my market "usual" ...
... we headed back to the CotS fitness exhibit to squeeze in a little resistance training.
All in all a big and active weekend. Hooray for bikes! Hooray for cows! Hooray for my braids!
