Snush or shine ...

... I want to be outside! In between today's snush storms I brought Dad's right boot to him ... and then the left ... picked up my ball and "eh"'d at the back door. I kept busy outside keeping my hands clean (above), playing keep-away (below), and lofting high ones (below below).

Just out of reach

I had a great day until I realized that I'm not quite tall enough to exceed my cookie limit of one/day.

Farm babies!

I spent the afternoon at the zoo with Mom and our friend Michele today. We heard there were some new baby animals at the zoo this weekend, so I helped give Michele a tour of the zoo while we searched for the babies.

We found baby lambs to pet...
and baby goats to pet...
and big goats to feed! Goat tongues feel so funny on your fingers!

Donut drive through

If it's a busy Saturday with no time to hang out at the coffee shop ... it's getting our mochas and donuts to go.

I gobbled my donuts right up on the BOB home and then hurried to get ready for my play date with our friends Michele and Garett.
After hours of running and climbing and splashing at the children's museum I was ready for a quiet afternoon at home. I snagged two stickers and Mom and Dad got even more work done while I took an afternoon snooze.

Dirt and yogurt

After a week of very little sleep, I played ball in the chyllie but sunny backyard until I got my hands dirty ...

... and then headed inside for more spoon practice.

If ...

... I'm not playing in sink water, I'm playing the piano while showing off the facial effects of today's crash at daycare.

Sunnydays in review

If it's Saturday and still unseasonably warm ... it's leap'n and bound'n over for mochas and donutholes!

... except I delayed everbody's breakfast by playing with a muddy ball that I found in the park.
Mom, GMO and I stopped in the park again on the way home and I had fun sliding and climbing on all the toys. I also encountered a problem for which I haven't come up with a solution: how do I get up when I've fallen and gotten my hands a little dirty? (I HATE having dirty hands or feet ...)
Finally back home, I first said goodbye to GMO and GDO before playing dress-up w/some wings GMO brought.Sunny Sunday brought an expressive lunch during which I watched our neighbors come and go ...
... and then managed to work my way into our newest kitchen addition before Dad stained it.

Fries in the hood

GDO and GMO showed up tonight just in time for an evening stroll through the park to one of our favorite neighborhood dinner spots.
I had a not-so-well-balanced meal snaggin' Pop Fritters from the plate on my right and the plate on my left. I practiced my dippin' skills too by scoopin' up some of GDO's ketchup, lickin' my fry and dippin' again.
After dinner I ran all the way home while GDO, GMO, Mom and Dad tried to keep up, keep me out of traffic and keep me from taking too big a tumble down our big hill.

Dressed in green

As promised a year ago ... I was all smiles as we BOB'd over a dozen blocks and down 10 more because we were in search of ...

... shamrock shakes! Although I sipped one a few days ago, today was the first ss that Mom & Dad let me have all by myself. The trip took so long the sun was setting as we neared home ...
... and I threw a fit with 2 blocks to go when Dad's desire for corned beef meant my bipedal time was over.
After a big dinner, I spent some more time playing with sink water while Dad made my "Minnemullet" look syllie.

Outdoors

If it's ~80 degrees warmer than this time last week ... I'm pointing at the front door, climbing down the porch steps, and taking Dad for a walk/run!
I pointed out all the noisy dogs on our block ...
... and rested up on some rocks for the return trip.
I refused to head inside once we got home, choosing instead to stay outside for some time on the slide (although the wet grass dirtied my backside a bit).
Once my hands became too dirty for me to stand it any longer, we headed inside for some sink water time and a yummy dinner.

Weekend wrapup

I had a great 1.5 days at Grammy and Grampa's house playing with sink water ...

... going shoe shopping ...
... and discovering a mocha shop that makes them in Lyllie-size! "Mocha" (decaf, of course) .... mmmmmmmm.
I had a lot of fun being included in my older cousins' games and chases ... and I had a few hugs and kisses for cousin Alea, too.
After a long car ride back to Chicago this afternoon, we had another fun flight back home. Any fears that I'll be an unhappy traveler on our long long flight this summer went away ... it turns out flying is nothing but another smile-inducing adventure!

March of dunes

Before another long car ride to Grammy and Grampa's house, I expended some energy on a long walk to the Lake Michigan beach with Mom, Cara, Zoe, and Alea. We walked down a long ramp leading from the bluff to the beach ...
... and eventually made our way over to the pier where I had fun continuing to chase Zoe and feeling the strong wind in my face. After filling our shoes with sand we headed for the snowy northern portion of Michigan ... and I happily slept the whole way.
