I'm happy that as of today I have a younger cousin!

Things I have to say
I've had a lot of important things to say this week. Tonight I decided a I better call some friends to say "Hi".Check your messages ...
I've also been trying to teach Baby Belle how to get ready for night-night time ...
Shhh ... Shhh ... Shhh ...

Sunnysubzeroday: active (but not hyper) edition
Whew, what energy I have! Another day below zero started off slowly with learning how to make bean-bags with Mom ...... and then I actually sat in one place long enough to read lots of books ...

... but then Mom started to tickle me ...

... and the photos stopped because I refused to the rest of the day!

Subzero smiles
If it's Saturday and the thermometer says -13 ... it's layer'n up and Kelty'n on over for mochas and donuts! It was a momentous day at the coffee shop - I'm finally big enough to receive balloon animals from the balloon guy!
After a nice long nap back home I had a huge happy lunch ...
... although I didn't care to pose for the entire meal.
This afternoon we layer'd up again and headed out for the annual outdoor hockey tournament in town.
Snow is cleared to make lots and lots of rinks on one of the city's frozen lakes and teams from all over play all weekend.
It was still bitterly cold ... which meant my cheeks were rosy and my vision was obstructed ... but the hockey was fun to watch.
My biggest smiles of the day were on display after Mom and I slid/spun/danced/skidded on one of the warm-up rinks - my first time on ice!

Going solo
I know what I want and I can do it all by myself.Tonight I played my own solo, leaving dad with nothing to do but document...
Independent endeavors of late have brought on the biggest kind of appetite the last few days. For tonight's dinner I had a five course meal before my belly was satisfied. Course one: half a banana. Course two: goldfish, cheese, zucchini, cottage cheese, squash and apple sauce. Course three: chips. Course four: crackers and grapes. Course five: milk.
Before heading to bed, I made time to fit in a victory lap in honor of the big day.

Indoor critters
Mom and I picked up Dad early from work today and we Subaru'd to - and BOB'd around - the zoo.I enjoyed the land mammals, but my favorite exhibit remained the fish whether from the top ...
... or the bottom.

Wide-eyed weekend
If it's Saturday ... it's Kelty'n on over for mochas and donuts w/GDO and GMO! The rest of Saturday was spent shopping ...... but on Sunday Mom and Dad practiced with their new lens while I stayed busy in my buggy ...

... and had fun puzzlin' ...
... until I overstepped my bounds.
Before my grandparents left for home, I hopped in GDO's shoes for a few steps ...
... and then tested out some new wheels at our favorite wooden toy store on their way out of town.

There's a chance ...
... that after 86 straight hours of sub (really, really sub)-zero thermometer readings we'll see +1 tomorrow. If we could be so lucky!

Ponies
That's right, my hair is finally long enough for an "up-do!" Mom gave me my first hair-do after daycare today.Mom found three spots that made the perfect ponies ...
... I found 597 pony holders ...
... and Dad got home and giggles followed all night.

Germs and rays
If it's Saturday and both Mom and Dad are sick (they got what I had and thus alternated w/Me duty all day while the other one slept) it's NO donuts and mochas! At lunch, it was verified that I inherited both Mom's and Dad's propensity for keeping my foods separate (Dad gave me the oranges and berries mixed).Sunday came and all bellies were quiet ... and I continued to climb on all things climb-able (it's my new favorite thing) and yell "hi" upstairs to Mom ...
... and then the sun came out! While Dad took advantage of the natural light for a few photos, Mom and I dreamt of summer while I basked in its shine for a brief rest ...
... and showed off my schnazzy foot coverings ...
... and had a yummy snack ...

... to try to fatten up for the next few nights.
