Festival of movies

We made it to Dad's hometown just in time to head down to the Film Festival's nightly movie on the big screen outdoors ... Looney Tunes. My uncle Kyle was a big believer and volunteer for the FF, so we're here to honor his love for the movies. The FF is honoring Kyle with his initials on the back of their shirts ... and lucky for Me they made one in Lyllie-size!

Whistle while you work

Workers have been jackhammering their way down our street working on the drains lately, so Mom and I spent our early morning on the curb yelling and flapping our arms to cheer on the guys.
After the fun and excitement of heavy machinery, we finished a bunch of errands in preparation of our upcoming trip to Michigan ... and I cried through my first car wash.
Back home, Mom Moby'd me up so she could start to pack (I would have crawled everywhere and found everything I wasn't supposed to find had I not been Moby'd).
We finished off our day with a BOB around the neighborhood ... and a stop for some waffle and sugar cone goodness in honor of the birth of my new friend.

Telling stories

We had a busy weekend doing chores around the house, Cougar'n around the neighborhood and playing in the backyard with friends. After reading the paper this morning, Dad listened to me tell my favorite stories about all the new things I climb.

Pleading the 5th

MOOOOOOOORRRRE (puffs, please)!

Mom and I Cougar'd errands all over the place this afternoon ... which was great fun until the sky dropped water on us. Fortunately, the Cougar has an emergency rain fly so I stayed as dry as the fancy fabric inside my Bum Geniuses while Mom was soaked.

Speaking of Bum Geniuses ... Dad was surprised to find evidence of Mom's afternoon snack when he changed me this evening. The evidence wasn't digested, so he's not sure exactly how it got down there. For now I'm remaining silent on the matter.

Backyard monsters

After filling up on cereal this morning ...

... Mom and I BOB'd over to her school where I discovered 2 of my favorite things in 1 place (the recycle bin): climb-able edges and paper!

Dad and I crawled around the backyard this evening playing monster (Dad) and Lylliemonster (me) while also pulling a few weeds ...

While Dad was worn out from all the yard fun, I was still full of energy as I enjoyed a few strawberry puffs during our patio dinner.

Missing in action

Mom and I had a fun day Cougar'n around the neighborhood and playing in my crib before my Momma went MIA ... she and Dad headed out for dinner and a movie w/o me so my great aunt Dolly had Me duty. The night was a success - no S.O.S. calls and after Mom and Dad got home, I got to be that girl ... they watched that scene ... I was a dancing queen!

Food!

The quality isn't great, but turn your sound up and click on the above picture (it comes to life) to see just how excited I am about food!

A busy week in review

Because of a crazy week last week (I had all my cousins and other Michigan/Idaho relatives visiting) I've been too busy to post any new pics! Here's a brief recap of all the fun we had:

After everyone arrived, we all cooled off in the backyard pool ...

... and when we ventured out of the backyard, I found another way to stave off the heat while watching everyone play in the field below.

I had an opportunity to practice sharing my Cougar with cousin Zoe back in town ...

... and enjoying yet another trip to the zoo! We saw lots of neat-o animals and had lots of fun despite the heat.

We finally escaped the warm temps for good with a trip up to the North Shore ... where Aunt Katie and I were twins for an evening ...
... and Grammy had Me duty while everyone else cruised down the alpine slide.
We visited a rocky beach ... and I had fun watching cousins Zoe and Ellen toss rocks into the harbor ...
... before I started wrestling Dad while he was trying to take their picture.
The pool at our North Shore hotel gave me an opportunity to show off my new boat ...
... and play with cousin Bryan ...... and cousin Ben ...
... before finishing off pool time with a toe-dip in the hot tub with Zoe.
Everyone parted their separate ways after posing for a big family photo.

Mom, Dad, and I then squeezed in a quick weekend visit to my wiscoGrandparents' hideaway and, although it wasn't the same as hanging in the side yard, found a swing to my liking at a local park.

A fun week came to an end with me having nothing but smiles ...

... and back home, a very troubling (for Mom and Dad, at least) discovery - the STAIRS!

Project nap

We had a lot of projects to do today. Mom worked on the curtain for my room and Dad worked on putting a new window in the kitchen. I worked on a couple of naps while BOB'n to the fabric store and again later to the place where "we can do it and they can help."

Shadows and reflections on a Saturday

This morning when we BOB'd over for our Saturday morning usuals we were followed by our summer sunshine shadows.

When we arrived we discovered our twins had come along too!
At the coffee shop, I played with Mom and Dad by dropping my toys on the floor while they gobbled down their mochas and donuts.
After mochas and donuts, Mom and I went on yet another adventure to see our friend Craig. This time Craig had a cool high chair for me to take home!

A splash or two

It was hot and sunny today, so Mom and I decided we would try drying my diapers outside.

Mr. Sun tried doing his job, but Mr. Wind got the best of him.
While my diapers were drying Mom got our new pool out and started to fill it while I hung out in the swing. I could barely contain my excitement while watching the diapers dry and the hose fill the pool...
When we thought the pool had had a chance to warm up a bit, Mom and I put on our suits and hats and headed for the water.
Mom braved the cold water... Dad prepared to capture our first backyard swim with the camera.... I decided the water was just the right temperature for my toys and a splash or two with my toes.
