Time to ToT!

If it's a Halloween Saturday ... it's time for Lyllie the bee to hit the Square!
After a yummy market and bizarre kiddie concert, I helped Dad put faces on our pumpkins ...
... and then we headed out for some ToT'ing candy! I enjoyed devoured my first Reese's PB Cup and Mr. Goodbar and who knows what all else I ate without Mom and Dad knowing ...

Ferries, a pirate, a turtle, a fireman and a bee oh my!

Halloween celebrations got off to a smashing start today with daycare's costume "pawdee" where I got to do all of my favorite things. First we ate cookies by our jack-o-lantern....

Then we got to trick-o-treat at Peggy's kitchen door...
...for gummies and a flying bat!
Next we all covered our eyes, spun around and...
...pinned our spider on the web!
After lots of dancing......and reading spooky books......it was time to blow out the candle and buzz home.

Across the street

As soon as Dad got home I grabbed a handful of animal crackers and we headed to one of my favorite places and successfully (thanks to the crackers) coaxed my fowl friends to come back from "C C" ... that's where everything that is "bye bye" goes to/comes from in my world.

Practice

After dinner and multiple readings of my new favorite Santa story (The Night Before Christmas), I sat down to make some music.
Maybe if we start singing Christmas carols, Santa will hear us and coming flying our way!

Chugga chugga ... choo choo!

Since it's Saturday ... I'm getting dressed in my engineer overalls and we're heading down to the Square for some "cake", veggies, and sticks in the Capitol courtyard.
Because I've been into all things "choo choo"-related recently, Mom and Dad decided it would be fun to take locomotive transportation to visit aunt Betsy in Milwaukee for the day ...
... and I loved my first "choo choo" ride - I brought along coloring supplies and my favorite train book to read along the way.
Although the pumpkin patch we visited with Betsy was a bit muddy and the pumpkins a bit mushy, we did find one to take home with us for next weekend.

WeekendWrapUp: outfit edition

My friend Isabel and her mom stayed stayed with us on Saturday and joined us for our first indoctrination into our street's annual party. The highlight for me was eating yummy cookies and watching a crazy purple guy juggle and balance all sorts of things.
Mr. Sun finally came out and made for a perfect Sunnyday to go for a walk with Mom and play in the leaves with Baby Belle ...
... and also don my costume again in order to receive some "canny."

It took awhile, but I finally agreed to try on my halloween costume tonight in exchange for some of last year's candy. Click on the pic and turn up your volume to see and hear me in action!

ISWD: Weekend edition

Even if it's a snowy Saturday, Dad and I are bundling up and Cougar'n down to the Farmers Market on the Square.

We stopped in the fancy arts building to eat our market "cake" breakfast and watch the kiddie performance and a bit of an adult performance ...... before discovering that there will be no more capitol drinks until springtime.
On Sunday we picked Mom up at the airport and then headed down our street to look for my fowl friends.
No ducks here.
No ducks here.
There they are!
At my urging, the ducks eventually headed back to where they belong (in my opinion) - the river.

ISWD: "see see" edition

With Mom away at a conference in Washington DC - or, as I say it "Mommy bye-bye C C" - I'm stuck with Dad for the rest of the week. So far my piggies don't look as crisp at 7 pm as they do when Mom's around ...

... but he is remembering to feed me. And we're watching a little baseball so I've insisted on wearing my baseball shirt each of the last 2 evenings.
After dinner, I practiced my people-markering ... can you see Mommy, Daddy, Baby Belle, and Daycare Cindy in the picture below?

Museum

Before Mom heads off to a conference for the rest of the week, she and I hung out and braved the wind and rain today to check out the Childrens Museum downtown. I had fun meeting new friends and learning about water ...
... our city ...
... and "frobbies" and turtles.
I also colored a few fall leaves ...
... before throwing a few casts off the side of the boat.
