Cougar'n home

Unfortunately for my tummy, our stay at the all-you-can-eat hospital came to a close today ...

... but not before I adorned my baby brother's bucket with lots of "wiwee wetters" and other pretty pictures ...
... and gave him lots and lots of kisses!
By the time it was time to go, my baby brother had a name ... Finnley Skye. And he had a special seat next to me in the Cougar!
As we left the hospital, I taught him about trees and wind and streets ...
... and along the way I taught him about "bike path - no cars, just bikes!"
Back home, I switched helmets and headed out front to show him my own biking skills ...
... and then bid my GDO and GMO bye-bye and said thanks for taking care of me this week!

I'm a big sister now!

Say hi to my baby brother!
He came out of Mom's tummy this morning and despite being nameless had a great first day in the world!
I've only met him once, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have fun with this little guy around!

Weekend WrapUp: Happy Father's Day! edition

This 3-wheel'd beauty is my latest obsession and about the only thing that matters in life right now. Up until this past week I'd been fixated on completing this 4 or 5 times a day. Mom and Dad think I just might have all 100 pieces memorized ... but I act like I don't just so they'll sit and offer praise when I finish it. But no more. I don't want to eat. I don't want to sleep. I don't want to puzzle. All I want to do is ride.

My weekend got off to a good start ... Mom and I trike'd all 2.5 blocks down to the park. Considering my farthest previous trip was making it 5 houses down our street, making it to the park was quite a workout!
For Dad's Day GMO and GDO visited to help out with a few house projects ... but before getting started we "1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10 weeeee" 'd our way to Willy St. for some yummy project fuel ...
... and I rode way up high on our way back.
Some of the projects the grownups worked on were boring and loud, but I took a keen interest in the backyard project for Me. Where once a jungle stood ...
... soon will stand a playhouse! Yippee!

Hooray for a short break in the rain! Hooray for my tricycle!

16-1+1 = Remember when ...

... my smile used to look like this? The pic above was one of the last taken with my full complement of teeth, because 3 days later a daycare crash resulted in a bloody lip ...
... and a hockey grin.
At the time the dentist said "not to worry, her adult teeth will still come in just fine."

Somewhat fortunately, my natural smile doesn't often reveal my upper incisors ...
... but every once in awhile the Cubs will score a run ...
... or I'll be biking up in the mountains ...
... or playing in the Dells and I'll get excited and unleash the gap.
Then early this year something funny happened. When I'd stand on my head a little white thing was suddenly visible where before only the gap resided. If you examine my pics closely, perhaps you noticed.
But it wasn't until I turned goofy in the strawberry patch that a pic really captured the present-gone-present once again front tooth.
So I guess I didn't loose my tooth after all. While it's coming back in a bit crooked, I guess my days as an apparent toothless toddler are dwindling. This is really going to put a crimp in my noodle-sucking skills. But I'm not giving up hope yet - with my daily collisions as evidence, I guess there's still a good chance I'll end up with a more permanent hockey grin before my childhood is over! Just thought you'd like to know.
