Home makeover: crawling edition

Because of what I've recently learned how to do in the picture above (it comes to life - click on it!), Mom has been busy moving things around our house so I don't crawl up something I'm not yet experienced enough to realize I shouldn't be!

My crawling ways do a number on my toes, so I've been using cute toe-protectors lately ...
... and relaxing on the front porch ...... and enjoying all things summer.

A new bed!

Last night I decided I was tired of sleeping in my car seat and jumped out! Mom and Dad decided it was the perfect night for me to try out my new crib!

I was too busy breaking in my new shoes and exploring the house to nap much today...
...so I took a little snooze while we BOB'd to get dinner at the new old-fashioned diner in our neighborhood. Check out the schnazzy seats they have!
When we got home I played a game of peek-a-boo with dad ...
... and tried out some new pajamas before giving my crib another try.

Pool Party

We had a big day planned today, but I didn't want to take a nap in my "napping spot" today, so Mom let me nap in the middle of the living room floor. When I woke up, we headed to our friends' house for a pool party!

After lunch and playing together with some of the other Bradley babies, we went swimming. I got a good look at the water before jumping in with Mom and then splashed all around!
My friend Morgan has a cool boat that she let me float around in. Mom let go and let me float around the pool and watch the other kids swim.
It was a great afternoon kicking and splashing at my first pool party!

Fish are friends

Mom took me to the Minnesota Zoo today. We met our friends Nolan and Weston and their mom Becca there.

They have a huge fish tank there. I got to sit and watch all the fish swim by and wave at the friendly ones.
The Zoo has a new exhibit called the Grizzly Coast. We watched this big bear looking at the fish in his pond. Mom thought he wanted to do more than just look at the fish. We tried to tell him that "fish are friends not food," but we're not sure he felt the same way...
Nolan showed us all around the whole zoo before we stopped for ice cream(for mom) and a snooze(for me).

Flags, cones, and puffs

Mom, Dad, and I Subaru'd up to celebrate the holiday weekend with wiscoGrandma and wiscoGrandpa at their hideaway. The Cougar was appropriately decorated as we made our way to the local 4th of July parade.

Grandpa (and his schnazzy shades) started out with Me duty as the fire engines and citizens of the year and beer-distributing floats and zambonis strolled by.

Halfway through the parade I obtained my first parade balloon, which kept me occupied for a while ...
... but before long I had had enough parading for one day.
Tooth troubles prevented me from sleeping well Friday night, so Saturday we all hopped on our bikes/Cougar with the hope that I'd catch up on rest during the 15 mile Cougar adventure.
(Don't worry - I was properly fastened in during the trip!)

We Cougar'd a long ways ... ultimately ending up at an ice cream shop in the middle of the woods outside the neighboring town. The stop started well ...
... but Grandma was very adept at keeping her cone just a little farther away than I wanted ...... so in retaliation I refused any further photo ops for the day.
Back home after the long car ride, I successfully fed myself for the first time ... ... for those scoring at home: banana puffs good.
