LIAW #2

Well, the Friendly Confines can be fun even when I'm not a Bum!

I played w/Grammy, Grandpa, and Sue-Bill as we enjoyed a gorgeous day in Chicago at Dad's favorite place ...
... where I had my requisite middle-inning snooze ...
... and we smiled after the Cubs posted LIAW #2!
After the game I proudly began my first 7-year cycle of Cubs hats (it took awhile to find a hat that "sort of" fit, but we finally did!).

Water!

Mom and I Cougar'd down to day #3 of my swim lessons ... and what fun! I always start out on the edge of the H2O ...

... but then take off for deeper depths while making sure not to get my knees wet.
Once I'm happy with my location, the splashing begins ... and that means big smiles for me!

Back home, I yelled over to my neighbors to come join me for a backyard bath in my pool.

With all of today's water adventures, I never found time for a nap. After Dad got home I didn't last long before I zonked out for the night.

The color of envy

What a day! I started swim lessons at the neighborhood pool yesterday, so Mom and I Cougar'd down to the water for day #2 this morning ... I don't want to brag, but I do a pretty mean "speckled frog" jump into the water! I'm the youngest in the class but also the most eager to get my face wet. I promise more swim pics tomorrow.
While we were out and about in the Cougar, we encountered some neighborhood kids that were jealous of our sweet ride. We also stopped by the colorful grocery store to stock up on some necessities ...
... and almost didn't have room for me on the ride home!
Yikes!

As is the norm, I helped Mom unpack the necessities before she put them away.

Unfortunately, we forgot to buy garlic. So after Dad got home we BOB'd over to the co-op for the last dinner necessity.

Mom and Dad keep telling me my middle name is "Trouble" ...
... but I prefer to think it's "Helpful".

With frequent daytime trips to the pool, we've discovered a bonus function of suntan lotion ... hair mousse!

Big trouble

I'm developing toddler skills at a rapid rate ... check out my new trick by clicking on the picture above (it comes to life).

Movies and more

To bring you up to speed on my recent goings-on in Michigan .... my ever-expanding squirminess had to be corralled with a double belt contraption in order to eat in a highchair at Grammy and Grandpa's house.

We all took a break from daytime movies on Friday and instead spent the day at my grandparents' favorite lake cabin ...
... where I was content all day ......splashing with my cousins and Mom ...
... and sitting/scooting/jumping in the shallow water with Grammy.
I had a great time playing just off shore ... even if I did stay in the water a bit too long!
We finished up every night in Michigan with a trip down to the Open Space park to watch the nightly movie as soon as the sun set beyond the bay.
The FF started each movie with a brief moment of remembering my uncle Kyle ...
... and we enjoyed watching Back to the Future on Friday night.
