Birthtown visit

If it was Saturday and we were visiting friends in Minnesota ... it's stopping by to see my favorite bakery ladies Joanne and Wendy to pick up a complimentary cookie and crunchy donut holes!
I also met up and caught up with my old friend Rey over hot cocoa mustaches ...
... before enjoying Minnesota's tropical Sunday weather with a trip to the park.
All in all, a great weekend filled with good food and good friends!

Am I ...

... being stubborn by refusing to wear mittens (in the low single digits) when my pockets suit me just fine?

CCC is for ...

... Chocolate Chip Cookies!
After helping Mom bake a few batches, we headed outside to enjoy the fresh snow and to try out my new sled on our way to the market.

The wait ...

... to use the women's restroom just got longer! Tonight's trip to the toilet improved my success rate from 0 poops/pees in ~1499 visits to 1/~1500 ... and although it might be a stretch to call me "potty trained", I still decided to celebrate my big deposit by rolling all over the floor yelling "POTTY!"

WrapUp: overdue edition

I spent the first part of my vacation at GMO's and GDO's house building "Frobbies" ...

... and baking and decorating yummy cookies ...
... opening family gifts on Dec. 24 ...
... snacking before a Xmas Eve service where the minister started her message by reciting the first 20 lines or so of "The Night Before Christmas," after which I blurted out "SSSSSANTA! HO HO HO!" (right on cue with when St. Nick appears in my TNBC nighttime book) ...
... before heading to bed and one last reading of TNBC (but not before setting out a little nourishment for the Big Guy's impending nighttime visit).
The next morning we woke up early and drove to Grammy and Grampa's house to throw a bit more wrapping paper around ...

... before heading out to the water park where my smiles and desire to swim were nowhere to be found ...
... but a fever was. After a late-night visit to the Dr.'s office and the diagnosis of my first ear infection, I spent the next few days in unMe-like cuddly mode and fighting every twice-daily medicinal administration before finally breaking out a smile for a picture with all my cousins.
