Germs and rays

If it's Saturday and both Mom and Dad are sick (they got what I had and thus alternated w/Me duty all day while the other one slept) it's NO donuts and mochas! At lunch, it was verified that I inherited both Mom's and Dad's propensity for keeping my foods separate (Dad gave me the oranges and berries mixed).

Sunday came and all bellies were quiet ... and I continued to climb on all things climb-able (it's my new favorite thing) and yell "hi" upstairs to Mom ...
... and then the sun came out! While Dad took advantage of the natural light for a few photos, Mom and I dreamt of summer while I basked in its shine for a brief rest ...
... and showed off my schnazzy foot coverings ...
... and had a yummy snack ...
... to try to fatten up for the next few nights.

ISWD: creative edition

My day with Dad: too many "hi"'s and rides in the clothes basket to count; 1 "runny" mess, 1 new trick discovered (pushing a stool toy over to the couch and using it to climb onto the couch - no joke).

Smiles and cookie tossing

The beginning of the week started well ... I took a break on the kitchen floor while helping prepare dinner on Tuesday ...

... and added a new dress-up accessory on Wednesday (Dad's ankle reflector is keeping my right bicep safe).
This morning, however, I woke up with bad things going on in my belly. Yuck. That meant no to daycare but yes to a morning ivory lesson (which usually happen in the evenings) before Dad headed out on his Trek.
I spent the rest of the day at home with Mom vomiting, bathing, improving my hand-eye coordination ...
... and trying to smile with some sick-looking eyes.
After a daylong avoidance of food, I thought I felt much better this evening. Unfortunately, I couldn't convince Mom and Dad to give me anything more than a few measley crackers for dinner.
Daycare reported that upset stomachs are the norm there, too, so that means ISWD tomorrow.

Keeping warm

My first day back home reminded me why I thought MI and Wisconsin's teen & twenty degree temps were warm.

I fashioned my new scarf as we bundled up to enjoy (Me and Dad) and barely tolerate (Mom) the fresh air (aka 255 K) while searching for a new Subaru seat for me.After a successful shopping trip, I spent the rest of my day generally wreaking havoc on my house, opening up and playing with many new toys and also pushing my birthday present all over the place.

On our way home

We made a few stops on our way out of MI ... first visiting with Mo and his parents in Lansing. I found what I was looking for in no time at all and spent the rest of the visit munching ...

... and playing ...
... before we all posed for a picture.
After a couple more stops in MI, we finally made it back into Wisconsin on the first day of 2009. I promptly found myself in the bathtub sink ...
... and entertained Mom's friends Rosie and Chris for a bit.The overnight rest at GDO and GMO's also let Dad do a little project in GDO's workshop that will eventually hang in my room.
