The inaugural "Lyllie goes to Opening Day" adventure took place yesterday at wet and soggy Wrigley Field. It was quite a day filled with many mini-adventures ... my first: train ride, bleacher seats, rain delay to start a game, rain delay to disrupt a game in progress, Cubs dramatic comeback, Cubs bullpen blowup ... just to name a few! Although the season just started, one thing was definitively settled yesterday: I'm a Cubs fan! ... when

Mom's friend (former Cub fan - turned - misguided Brewer fan) Dawn tried to put a Crew hat on my head I voiced my displeasure for all the Bums to hear!

I prepared pretty intensively for the big game ... sleeping in my Cubs PJs the night before and making sure I was decked out in my Cubs onesie for a picture with Dad before we left for Wrigley.

All in all it was a great game and I can't wait for our return trips to the Friendly Confines to see the Cubs win this summer!
On Sunday I went with Mom, Dad, Aunt Betsy, and Grandpa to Grandpa's favorite hometown diner, Frank's. Grandpa says it has the best-tasting garbage around; everyone ordered a 1/2 order of Frank's staple - the Garbage Plate ... maybe next time we go I'll order a 1/32 Garbage Plate!

After taking a few hours to let the garbage digest, we headed out for some exercise and swimming in my new suit ... what fun! Aunt Betsy told me I don't need to worry about the stretchy thing she had on her head until my hair looks more like Mom's and less like Dad's!
